Apply for a Rotation
Ready to request a placement? Here's what to have ready, how the process works, and how to start your application as an NP, PA, MD, or DO student.
Individual placements require an active clinical affiliation between Luckycharm and your program. If your school isn't affiliated yet, have your clinical placement office visit our University & Program Partnerships page first.

Clear terms, built around your hours
Know what to expect before you apply. Your rotation fee and schedule are based on the hours you need, and both are confirmed with you before anything is signed.
How fees work
Straightforward, with no surprises.
- Based on hours needed. Your program fee is calculated from the scheduled hours your school requires, not a flat monthly charge.
- Application and background check. A $200 application fee and a $150 background check fee are collected when you submit your application. They are non-refundable, but both are applied toward your final cost.
- Billed to the trainee. The fee is a program fee for the training experience. It is not a paid stipend.
- Confirmed before you sign. We share your total once your hours are set, before the rotation agreement is signed.
- Invoiced after signing. Your invoice is sent once the rotation agreement is signed.
- Paid by card. Payment is due, and must clear, at least one week before your rotation starts.
How scheduling works
Designed around your school's requirements.
- Start with your hours. Tell us how many clinical hours your program requires and the month you would like to begin.
- Track-specific placement. NP, PA, MD and DO trainees are each matched to the right rotation focus.
- Dates set with our coordinators. Your start date and weekly schedule are confirmed together, and before you sign.
- School affiliation first. Placements run through an affiliation agreement with your school. Your school's clinical placement office can start this with us.
Common rotation lengths
Your total is set by the scheduled hours you need. Here are the most common ones.
The $200 application fee and $150 background check fee you pay at application are non-refundable, but they are applied toward these totals. Need a different number of hours? Tell us and we will quote your exact total. Payment is by card and is due at least one week before your rotation starts.

Common Questions
Do I need my school to be affiliated before I apply?
Yes. Individual rotations are placed under a signed clinical affiliation agreement between Luckycharm and your program. If your school doesn't have one yet, have your clinical placement office reach out through our University & Program Partnerships page — most affiliations can be finalized within a few weeks.
How long is a typical rotation?
Rotation length follows your program's own requirements — we accommodate the dates and weekly hours your school defines as part of the affiliation.
Is there a cost to the rotation?
Rotations aren't a paid stipend — there's a program fee paid by the trainee, based on the number of hours you need. We'll confirm your exact hours, schedule, and total cost together before anything is signed. An invoice is sent once your rotation agreement is signed, and payment by credit or debit card is due (and must clear) at least one week before your rotation begins.
Can I apply for more than one track or rotation period?
Submit a separate application for each rotation period you're requesting. If you're unsure which track applies to you, reach out and we'll help you sort it out before you apply.
Have questions before you apply?
Reach out to our clinical education coordinator — we're happy to talk through your track, timeline, and what your school will need to provide.
Rotation availability, eligibility, and cohort capacity vary by track and academic term. Placement requires a signed clinical affiliation agreement between Luckycharm and your program plus completed compliance documentation.
